About Julie
Julie is a compassionate therapist who offers a safe, insightful space for clients to explore life's deeper questions and navigate personal challenges. Drawing from existential therapy, Julie helps clients gain clarity around their values, purpose, and identity, encouraging them to face life’s uncertainties with courage, authenticity, and a sense of meaning.
Julie also integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an approach that emphasizes mindfulness, self-acceptance, and committed action. Through ACT, clients develop psychological flexibility, learning to respond to difficult emotions and unproductive thought patterns in ways that align with their values. This approach helps clients build resilience, foster self-compassion, and create a life that feels truly fulfilling.
With years of experience in providing mental health support to diverse populations, Julie is passionate about helping clients find purpose and meaning by embracing their authentic selves and making empowered, values-driven choices. She works with clients to set healthy boundaries, improve communication, break free from perfectionism, and overcome unhelpful patterns.
Julie is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern and a National Certified Counselor, holding an educational background in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Rehabilitation Counseling, and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Counseling Education and Supervision. Her career began with providing mental health services to military personnel during her active-duty service, and she has since been deeply involved in supporting underserved populations in the Tampa Bay area.
Currently, Julie provides counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. Her areas of specialization include anxiety, depression, self-esteem, sexuality, major life transitions, guilt, grief, chronic illness, and compassion fatigue.
