What should I do if my therapist is not a good fit?It’s completely normal if the connection with your therapist doesn’t feel quite right initially. Now that you have a better idea of what you're looking for, we can quickly arrange an appointment with a therapist who may be a better fit for you. Establishing a strong rapport with your therapist is crucial for success in therapy, so it’s important that you feel comfortable and supported throughout the process.

Is my telehealth session still confidential?Yes, your telehealth sessions are confidential. We take privacy seriously and use secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms to ensure your information remains protected.

How can I access my client portal?You can access your client portal using the link you receive via email/text. If you need assistance, please contact our office for support.

Can my therapist fill out my FMLA or short-term disability paperwork?For established clients who have attended at least four consecutive sessions, we can discuss and complete FMLA paperwork. While we do not complete disability documentation, we can provide a letter that includes the dates of your sessions, your diagnosis code, and a treatment summary, with your consent.

Do you provide court and legal services?Our practice does not provide court-related services, such as testifying or preparing legal documentation. However, we can provide therapeutic support and documentation if necessary for your legal case.

Is therapy a substitute for medication?Therapy is not a substitute for medication, and in some cases, therapy and medication may be used together for optimal results. We encourage you to speak with your healthcare provider to determine the best treatment plan for you.

Do I need to commit to a long-term therapy plan?The length of therapy depends on your needs and goals. Some people may benefit from short-term therapy, while others may engage in longer-term therapy. Your therapist will work with you to determine the best plan for your personal journey.

What should I expect during my first session?During your first session, your therapist will get to know you by discussing your background, current concerns, and goals for therapy. How do I know if therapy is working?You’ll know therapy is working when you begin to feel more in control of your emotions, better able to handle challenges, and see progress in your relationships and daily life. Your therapist will regularly check in on your progress to ensure you’re moving toward your goals.
