My Therapy Approach:
Julie integrates existential therapy with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which emphasizes mindfulness, self-acceptance, and committed action. Through ACT, clients develop psychological flexibility, learning to respond to difficult emotions and unproductive thought patterns in ways that align with their values. Additionally, Julie is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a therapeutic approach that helps clients process and heal from trauma by reprocessing distressing memories.
In My Spare Time:
Outside of her work as a therapist, Julie enjoys spending time outside with family and friends, reading, and discovering new places. She values personal growth and believes in the importance of nurturing her own well-being, both personally and professionally.
